AqT®-engineered small molecules for next-generation assays
CellMosaic also offers AqT®-engineered small molecules, designed to improve performance in next-generation assay development. AqT® linkers are super-hydrophilic, water-soluble, charge-neutral proprietary materials invented at CellMosaic.
Many small-molecule inhibitors, agonists, and antagonists bind proteins through a hydrophobic core and therefore have poor water solubility. By introducing an AqT® linker at a position away from the binding core, we can create novel, water-soluble variants—enabling PK studies and assay workflows with reduced or no organic solvent.
In essence, CellMosaic aims to provide a practical solubility solution for hydrophobic small molecules.
