Biopolymer Labeling
CellMosaic labels biopolymers with either commercial available or custom-made small molecules.
Small molecules (M2) that can be attached to biopolymers include fluorescent compounds, chemiluminescent compounds, biotin, haptens, and other custom or commercial chemicals with reactive functional groups such as carboxyl, primary amine, aldehyde/keto, hydroxyl, hydrazine/aminoxy, or thiol groups.
Typical biopolymers (M1) include antibodies, antibody fragments, enzymes (such as alkaline phosphatase (AP) and horseradish peroxidase (HRP)), proteins, peptides and peptidomimetics, DNA and DNA analogs, and avidin/streptavidin. L represents the linker that connects M1 to M2, while n denotes the molar ratio of M2 to M1.
