Overview
CellMosaic, Inc. ("CellMosaic," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information when you visit or interact with our website, create an account, request information or a quotation, place an order, subscribe to communications, apply for a position, or otherwise communicate with us in connection with our products and services.
"Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked with an individual. It does not include information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to an individual.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to https://cellmosaic.com and other CellMosaic webpages, online forms, and digital services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Site"). It also applies to related business communications when this Privacy Policy is referenced.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that have their own privacy notices. It also does not replace confidentiality, data-protection, or other obligations contained in a written agreement between CellMosaic and a customer, supplier, collaborator, employee, or other party. Research materials, chemical or biological samples, sequences, project specifications, experimental results, and other technical or confidential project information may be governed by separate agreements and terms. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information associated with those interactions.
Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact and professional information. Name, business email address, telephone number, company or institution, job title, department, billing and shipping addresses, and similar details.
- Account information. Username, password or other authentication information, account preferences, and account activity.
- Order and transaction information. Products or services requested, quoted, purchased, returned, or considered; purchase orders; tax-exemption information; billing and shipping details; transaction status; and customer-service records.
- Payment information. Payment card or bank-payment information needed to complete a transaction. Payment information may be collected directly by a payment processor. CellMosaic generally receives transaction status and limited payment details rather than a complete payment-card number.
- Communications and inquiry information. Information included in contact forms, emails, telephone calls, requests for technical support, quotation requests, surveys, reviews, or other communications with us.
- Marketing preferences. Newsletter subscriptions, communication preferences, and records of whether you opened or interacted with a marketing message, where that functionality is used.

When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, and device identifiers;
- pages viewed, links clicked, search terms, referring and exit pages, dates and times of visits, and other interactions with the Site; and

Information from other sources
We may receive personal information from your employer or purchasing organization, authorized distributors or sales representatives, shipping and payment providers, event organizers, marketing and analytics providers, publicly available sources, and other persons or organizations with whom you ask us to interact.
Sensitive and Patient Information
The Site is intended for business and scientific-research interactions and is not intended for patient care or the collection of patient-identifying health, medical, or genetic information. Please do not submit protected health information, patient identifiers, personal genetic information, government identification numbers, account passwords, or other sensitive personal information through general website forms or ordinary email unless CellMosaic specifically requests the information and appropriate written arrangements are in place.
How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information for the following purposes:

Legal Bases for Processing
Where laws such as the European Union or United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation apply, we process personal information on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract; our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business, serving customers, securing our systems, and communicating about relevant products and services; compliance with legal obligations; and consent, where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal or processing supported by another lawful basis.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:
- Strictly necessary functions. Operating the Site, maintaining a shopping cart or session, processing requests, authenticating users, and protecting security.
- Remembering preferences and supporting optional website features.
- Analytics and performance. Understanding how visitors use the Site, diagnosing problems, and improving content and performance.
- Advertising and measurement. Measuring campaigns or presenting information that may be relevant to business users, where these technologies are enabled.
You can control many cookies through your browser settings and through any cookie or privacy preference tool made available on the Site. Blocking some cookies may cause parts of the Site to function improperly. Browser-based "Do Not Track" signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will process it as required by that law.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
- Service providers. Companies that provide website and ecommerce hosting, cloud storage, payment processing, fraud prevention, shipping and logistics, customer relationship management, order administration, email and marketing services, analytics, advertising measurement, information technology, security, and related support.
- Professional advisers. Lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, banks, financing sources, and consultants when reasonably necessary for their services.
- Your organization and authorized persons. Your employer, institution, purchasing organization, account administrator, or others you authorize, where appropriate to fulfill a request or administer the relationship.
- Legal and protective disclosures. Courts, regulators, law enforcement, government authorities, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect rights, safety, property, systems, customers, or the public.
- Business transactions. Potential or actual buyers, investors, lenders, advisers, and other participants in a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality or other protections.
- At your direction. Other parties when you request or consent to the disclosure.
We expect service providers that process personal information for us to use it only for the services they provide or as otherwise permitted by contract and law.
Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
CellMosaic does not sell personal information in exchange for money. We may use analytics, advertising, or campaign-measurement technologies that disclose online identifiers and website activity to service providers. Some privacy laws may define certain disclosures through these technologies as a "sale," "sharing," or processing for "targeted advertising," even when no money is exchanged. Where such laws apply and the relevant technologies are used, you may exercise an applicable opt-out right by using any privacy control available on the Site or contacting us as described below.
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us at info@cellmosaic.com. We may still send non-marketing communications, such as messages about an order, account, inquiry, safety matter, service, contract, or legal notice. Please allow a reasonable period for us and our providers to process an opt-out request.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide products and services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, quality, and contractual requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our business. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of our relationship, applicable legal requirements, and operational needs. When personal information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable law and our record-retention practices.
Information Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access, or disclosure. Access to personal information is limited based on business need. No website, transmission, storage system, or security measure is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for notifying us if you believe an account or communication has been compromised.
International Data Transfers
CellMosaic is located in the United States. If you access the Site or provide personal information from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate measures for international transfers of personal information.

- request access to or a copy of personal information we maintain about you;

Please describe your request and your relationship with CellMosaic and identify the state or country in which you reside. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business and scientific users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
